Itinerary
Day 01Early Morning Pickup & Nile Crossing
Pre-dawn pickup from your Luxor hotel or cruise ship. Cross the Nile via comfortable motorboat with tea, coffee, and pastries served onboard.
Day 02Sunrise Balloon Flight over West Bank
Arrive at the takeoff field, meet your certified pilot, and receive a safety briefing. Board the basket and ascend as the sun rises over the Nile, granting 360-degree panoramic views of Hatshepsut Temple, the Valley of the Kings, and the Colossi of Memnon for 45 to 60 minutes.
Day 03Landing & Return Transfer

Questions about this trip
What should I wear?
It is recommended to dress in layers. It can be quite chilly in the early morning before sunrise, but it warms up quickly once the sun is up. Wear comfortable, closed-toe flat shoes suitable for getting into the basket and walking on uneven ground upon landing.
Do we fly over the Valley of the Kings?
Balloons are dependent on wind direction. While pilots aim to show you the major sites, the flight path varies daily. You will almost always see the temples of Hatshepsut, the Ramesseum, and the Nobles' Tombs, but flying directly over the Valley of the Kings is strictly controlled and wind-dependent.
Can children fly?
Send the children’s ages before booking. The balloon operator must confirm its applicable age and height requirements and accept each participant for the selected flight.
What time is pickup?
Pickup is very early, usually around 4:00 AM to 4:45 AM, to ensure you are in the air before the sun breaks the horizon.
